Edelbrock Renews Its Working Contract With Magneti Marelli U.S.A. Inc.
TORRANCE, Calif.--Dec. 7, 1998--Edelbrock Corp. Monday announced that it had renewed its current long-term vendor contract with Magneti Marelli U.S.A. Inc. until Dec. 31, 2004.
Magneti Marelli U.S.A., based in Sanford, N.C., is the manufacturer of the Edelbrock Performer Series Carburetor, which Edelbrock has been marketing through its distribution channels since November 1988.
Commenting on the renewal, Vic Edelbrock, president and chief executive officer, offered: "We are gratified to see that the Edelbrock Performer Series Carburetor continues to flourish. As an integral part of our Total Power Package, the Performer Carburetor is an important part of our current sales mix."
Edelbrock added: "We are pleased to continue our association with Magneti Marelli U.S.A. Inc. for another six years. The mutual efforts of continuing to manufacture and market the Performer Series Carburetor into the next millennium gives us a solid foundation for the future."
Founded in 1938, Torrance-based Edelbrock is recognized as one of the nation's premier designers, manufacturers and distributors of performance parts for the automotive and motorcycle aftermarkets.
In addition to three production facilities in Torrance, the company owns and operates a state-of-the-art aluminum foundry and its QwikSilver Division for motorcycle-aftermarket parts in San Jacinto, Calif., at which it manufactures many of its quality products.
