DaimlerChrysler Manufacturing Executive Takes a New Path
Dennis Pawley Announces Partnership with Las Vegas-based Performance Learning

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 4 -- Following today's announcement of Dennis
K. Pawley's retirement from DaimlerChrysler Corporation , the
manufacturing executive stated that he is planning to form a business
partnership with Dr. Donald J. Steele, founder of Performance Learning, Inc.,
a Las Vegas-based corporate development firm.
"This is a natural move for me in my career," said Pawley, Executive Vice
President of Manufacturing at DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "In the time that
I've been with Chrysler, the performance of the entire manufacturing team has
been stellar. I am very proud of our accomplishments. I've learned
fundamental principles that are essential for success in any field."
"Now, I'm ready to explore other avenues of achievement. I want to share
those key labor strategies that I've carefully nurtured during my time at
Chrysler with businesses around the world," Pawley said.
Pawley, along with the company's top creative executives, has been
credited with propelling Chrysler's renaissance in the 1990's. Pawley says
the success of his internal operating system is a result of incorporating
unique business philosophies, like those he will promote through Performance
Learning.
"In over 30 years of exposure to corporate training, I've never seen
anything as bottom-line effective and downright fun as Performance Learning's
program. I want to be a part of making it flourish even more," Pawley said.
Performance Learning has fostered a professional relationship with
DaimlerChrysler Corp. over the last few years. The company plans to continue
counseling automotive-related businesses and unrelated industries on unique
business strategies.
"Today's global economy means businesses have to move faster to win their
competitive races. Our training uses a racing metaphor to enhance businesses'
operating systems," said Dr. Donald J. Steele, founder and Chief Executive
Officer of Performance Learning. "We teach businesses to react like a
professional racing team which enables them to anticipate, prevent and resolve
breakdowns and act as an effective team committed to winning."
"Teaching people to compress their learning and response time is what will
increase profits and create a committed workforce," Steele adds. "Dennis has
actually applied these principles to make Chrysler a success, and we're
excited for him to share that front-line expertise with our customers. With
this transition, he will now have the opportunity to impact American business
as a whole."
Performance Learning, headquartered at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, is
made up of professionals in the fields of business, education, manufacturing
and motorsports and has a unique centerpiece of training that includes the
actual driving of high performance vehicles on the Speedway. Performance
Learning strategies have been implemented by diverse organizations around the
world, including United Auto Workers, Fortune 500 companies and small
entrepreneurial businesses.
