Strong November Sales Add to Isuzu's Thanksgiving


    WHITTIER, Calif.--(AutomotiveWire)--Dec. 3, 1998--American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) announced the strongest November retail sales of its light vehicles since 1995, finishing the month with a 27 percent month-to-date and 9 percent year-to-date increase on total one-month sales of 7,579 vehicles.
    The Isuzu Hombre and Trooper showed increases over November 1997, the most dramatic of which was the Hombre at 132 percent, posting 1,274 units. Trooper sales jumped 71 percent with 1,273 units announced. The redesigned Rodeo led sales with a total of 4,179 units posted, a 17 percent increase over last November.
    The new Amigo, which was reintroduced last year after a 3-year hiatus, enjoyed its third-highest sales month ever at 773 units.
    American Isuzu Motors Inc.'s light vehicles are distributed through a network of 554 dealers across the United States.
