Jaguar Posts Record Sales for November
MAHWAH, N.J., Dec. 3 -- Jaguar Cars today announced its best
November ever in the United States totaling 2,004 cars, up 8 percent compared
with November 1997. Sedan sales of 1,543 in November were up 10 percent
compared with November 1997.
Total year-to-date sales represent the highest volume for Jaguar for any
full calendar year since 1988 totaling 20,031, up 16 percent compared with the
same period a year ago.
In Canada, Jaguar sales for November totaled 80 sedans and sports cars, up
8 percent compared with November 1997.
Jaguar's 1999 model year product lineup is now in showrooms in the U.S.
and Canada including: the XJ8, XJ8 L (not available in Canada), Vanden Plas
and XJR sedans, and the XK8 coupe and convertible. Jaguar's entire lineup
features the award-winning 4.0-liter AJ-V8 engine as well as Jaguar's
distinctive styling both inside and out.
