Subaru Mid-America Region Reports End of Month Sales

    ITASCA, Ill., Dec. 1 -- The Subaru Mid-America Region
announced its November sales figures.  The Mid-America Region posted a sales
total of 1,697 units for the month, up 20 percent over the same period last
year.  Year-to-date totals are up 18 percent over 1997 year-to-date totals.
November 1998 sales represent the second best sales month for the Subaru Mid-
America Region.
    Nationally, Subaru recorded a sales total of 13,783 units for the month of
November, its best November sales month in 11 years.  Overall, year-to-date
1998 totals are up 11 percent over the same period in 1997 with November 1998
up 18 percent versus November 1997.
    Subaru of America, Inc./Mid-America Region, located in Itasca, Ill.,
operates as a regional sales and parts distribution center of Subaru of
America, Inc.  The regional office services 98 retail dealerships throughout
Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and
Wisconsin.
