Subaru Western Region Reports End of Month Sales - Best Sales Month Ever -

    PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 1 -- Subaru Western Region announced its
November sales figures.  The Western Region posted a sales total of 3,094
units for the month, up 25 percent over the same period last year.  Year-to-
date totals are up 17 percent over 1997 year-to-date totals.  November 1998
represents the best sales month ever.
    Nationally, Subaru recorded a sales total of 13,783 units for the month of
November, its best November sales month in 11 years.  Overall, year-to-date
1998 totals are up 11 percent over the same period in 1997 with November 1998
up 18 percent versus November 1997.
    Subaru of America, Inc./Western Region, located in Portland, Ore.,
operates as a regional sales and parts distribution center of Subaru of
America, Inc.  The regional office services 120 retail dealerships throughout
Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and
