Kia Sales Exceed 75,000 Units

    IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 1 -- It was at this time last year that
Kia Motors America announced it had broken the 50,000-unit mark in retail
sales.  Well, this year the news is even better.  Because of its strong and
steady sales performance and an increase in dealers nationwide, Kia today
announced that November sales have pushed the year-to-date total to more than
75,000 vehicles.  The 1998 year-to-date total is more than 58 percent over
last year's total.
    Kia currently has more than 450 dealers in 46 states and is in the midst
of its market-by-market roll-out, which will culminate in a national dealer
network by the end of 1998.
