Land Rover Reports November Sales

    LANHAM, Md., Dec. 1 -- Land Rover North America, Inc. today
reported November sales of 1,915 units, an increase of over 16% from November
1997.
    Charles R. Hughes, President, Land Rover North America, said, "As 1998
draws to a close, we remain on track for a record breaking year for Range
Rover -- November was the best Range Rover month in the history of the
company. With a good supply of 1999 Discovery Series IIs and Range Rovers
arriving in showrooms this month, we expect this sales momentum to carry into
the New Year."
