Federal-Mogul Appoints Dick Whitaker, Director, Flight Operations
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 1 -- Richard P. Randazzo, vice
president, Human Resources, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces
the appointment of Dick Whitaker to the position of director, Flight
Operations, effective immediately.  Whitaker will have responsibility for all
aspects of Federal-Mogul's flight operations, including personnel, equipment,
scheduling, maintenance and policy.
    "In managing the increasingly complex nature of the Federal-Mogul flight
operations, we are extremely pleased to be able to augment our excellent
existing flight resources by adding someone with Dick's extensive corporate
aviation experience," said Randazzo.
    Prior to this appointment, Whitaker was chief pilot with Gulfstream
Aerospace Corporation of Savannah, Georgia, where he was employed for eleven
years.  His earlier experiences were in commercial aviation and with the U.S.
Navy where he was a combat pilot and flight instructor.
    Whitaker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the
University of Georgia.
