Six Sigma Qualtec Chosen By Korean Management Association as Exclusive Six Sigma Training Partner
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Dec. 1, 1998--Agreement Makes Six Sigma Qualtec the Sole Six Sigma Provider
to Korean Manufacturing Leaders
The Korean Management Association (KMA) has chosen Six Sigma Qualtec as its sole partner in providing Six Sigma training to 1,000 KMA member companies, including such worldwide manufacturers as Samsung and Hyundai.
Six Sigma Qualtec is a corporate training and implementation firm specializing in Six Sigma and other programs that yield financially measurable performance improvements. It has developed and implemented successful Six Sigma programs for General Electric, AlliedSignal, GenCorp, Nokia, Navistar, Siebe and other major manufacturers.
Under the agreement, member companies that contract for Six Sigma training through KMA will be served exclusively by Six Sigma Qualtec. In addition, KMA will provide its members with more information about Six Sigma programs, which are designed to produce 15 to 25 percent revenue savings through virtual elimination of process defects in manufacturing, service and operations. Programs implemented by Six Sigma Qualtec have repeatedly saved world-class corporations $1 million or more.
According to Soo-iyl Kim, President of the Korean Management Association, the selection of Six Sigma Qualtec was made after an exhaustive evaluation of prospective Six Sigma training providers. "We feel that Korean industries must do a more effective job of improving product quality," he said. "We chose Six Sigma Qualtec based on its record of bottom-line accomplishments for world-class manufacturers, and its commitment to providing its clients with knowledge they can leverage to achieve improvements on their own."
"KMA's selection of Six Sigma Qualtec is further validation that Six Sigma training and implementation have worldwide application," said Six Sigma Qualtec Chairman John Lopez-Ona. "The current worldwide economic climate is forcing corporations to reach for earnings by increasing their organizations' overall efficiency. Six Sigma quality training programs provide potent tools for doing so."
Six Sigma Qualtec provides performance-based training and integrated management system applications that drive financially measurable results. Its principals were involved in the pioneering application of statistically-based Six Sigma tools and methodologies at Motorola, which first turned worldwide corporate attention to the promise of Six Sigma. In addition to providing Six Sigma programs, the firm offers a comprehensive human resource and business process curriculum. Six Sigma Qualtec is headquartered at 8757 East Via de Commercio, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.
