Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure, Wiper Products, Sealing Systems

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 1 -- Wilhelm A. Schmelzer, executive
vice president - Sealing Systems, Federal-Mogul Corporation ,
announces the following appointments as a result of the incorporation of wiper
products from Federal-Mogul's recent acquisition of Cooper Automotive:

    *  Rene Dalleur, managing director, Wiper Products, Europe
    *  Robert N. Faulhaber, plant manager, Michigan City, Wiper Products
       Operations
    *  Terry J. Ressler, business manager, Wiper Products

    Rene Dalleur, Managing Director, Wiper Products, Europe
    Rene Dalleur has been appointed managing director, Wiper Products, Europe,
reporting to Kevin Baird, vice president, Sealing Systems - Europe.  In this
new role, Dalleur will be responsible for the following plants:  Aubange,
Belgium (spark plugs and wiper blades operations), and Druento, Italy (wiper
blades).
    Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Dalleur served as special projects
director, general manager Belgium operations and European logistics for Cooper
Automotive - Europe.  Prior to this, he served as general plant manager,
Aubange.  Dalleur joined Cooper Automotive in 1988 as plant manager in the
Aubange facility.  He began his career in the aviation and aerospace industry
working on engineering, purchasing, and program management assignments at F.N.
Herstal in Belgium.
    Dalleur earned a degree in mechanical engineering and management from the
University of Louvain, Belgium.

    Robert N. Faulhaber, Plant Manager, Michigan City
    Robert Faulhaber will remain in his position as plant manager, Michigan
City, reporting to Ron Comer, director of manufacturing operations, Sealing
Systems - North America.
    Faulhaber was appointed to his current position in November 1997.  Prior
to joining Federal-Mogul, Faulhaber worked with Cooper Automotive since 1979.
Positions he has held there have included plant manager, Sparta, Tennessee and
manager, Advance and Mini.
    Faulhaber earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Kean College located in
New Jersey.

    Terry J. Ressler, Business Manager, Anco Wiper Products
    Terry Ressler has been appointed business manager, Wiper Products
reporting to Mike Fisher, vice president of sales and application engineering,
Sealing Systems - Americas.  Ressler will continue to have responsibility for
the Anco windshield wiper product lines.
    Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Ressler held the position of director,
O.E. Sales / Wiper Products at Cooper Automotive.  Ressler previously held
positions including manager, Aftermarket Sales and account executive, Meridian
Enterprises at Cooper Automotive.
    Ressler earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Duquesne
University, Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana
University.
