National Technical Systems Engineering & Evaluation Group Wins $1 Million Contract; Optional Services Could Add an Additional $1 Million
CALABASAS, Calif.--Dec. 1, 1998--National Technical Systems Inc. (NTS) Tuesday announced that its recently formed Engineering & Evaluation Group (formerly Technical Services) has been awarded a contract for dynamometer testing of drive-line components from a major domestic automobile manufacturer.
The contract is valued at approximately $1.0 million over the next 12 months. Jack Lin, president of NTS, estimated that optional services could add approximately an additional $1.0 million over the contract's term.
Lin said that the testing will be performed at the company's facility in Detroit. "Our Detroit facility has completed the development of several new dynamometer test cells whose unique capabilities made this contract win possible. We made the strategic decision several years ago to enter this area of testing and evaluation. Our decision now is beginning to yield dividends as this contract opens the door for similar opportunities with other customers," he said.
National Technical Systems provides information technology (IT) consulting, staffing, registration and other services through its IT Solutions Group; and technical and engineering services through its Evaluation & Engineering Group.
