SuperBAT Inc. - Makers of TVT Antifriction Lubricants - Purchases Race Car To Challenge Pike's PeakCHULA VISTA, Calif., Nov. 30 -- BAT International (OTC Bulletin Board: BAAT) announced today that several of its subsidiary companies are teaming up to enter a broad spectrum of national races as record-setting demonstrations of their auto technologies. Multiple vehicles will be used during BAT's 1999 schedule including a Pike's Peak challenge. SuperBAT TVT (Total Vehicle Treatment) has purchased an open wheel race car to challenge the elusive "10 minute" racing goal at Pike's Peak this year. SuperBAT TVT has teamed up with the Keith Harper Racing Team for the event. Keith has extensive experience in uphill racing, is a test driver for General Motors Corporation and recently has been put in charge of the General Motors Test Center at Pike's Peak. Keith has many racing credits including being voted Rookie of the Year in 1991 at Pike's Peak and Rookie of the Year in 1989 at Colorado Hill Climb. Keith has finished in the top three at the Colorado Hill Climb Association events for the last 8 years. The Pike's Peak race is one of the most dangerous racing events in the world and is also an American tradition held on the 4th of July since 1921. Indeed, the America the Beautiful song was written by Katherine Lee Bates on the top of the Peak. The race course to the top at Pike's Peak (over 14,000 feet high) consists of a 5,000 foot vertical rise, 12.2 miles covered with 156 switch-back turns with no guard rails and mind-boggling drop-offs. The race is well televised and attended by top international race teams who seek the coveted trophy which now stands at 10 minutes, 4 seconds. The Pike's Peak challenge is not new to BAT. There are only 8 electric vehicles in the world that have successfully climbed Pike's Peak and BAT has designed and owns 4 of them. Now BAT is entering the top gasoline-powered division. BAT's race car is currently being modified for the event and will feature a Chevy-powered engine modified with BAT's Dolphin Pulse Charge technology. (see the web site at http://www.pulsecharge.com) and BAT's "TVT" antifriction lubricants (visit http://www.superbat.com). BAT and the Keith Harper Race Team have only one goal: "Break the 10 minute barrier." The team is fully funded and is now negotiating with several national corporations for sponsorship (Chevrolet has tentatively agreed to be the first sponsor). A full 1999 Calendar of BAT Events will be posted in early January. BAT International is organized as a holding company with major ownership position in a set of subsidiary companies now commercializing advanced automotive and energy technology products developed by BAT over the last seven years. This includes electric vehicles, super-efficient and high-powered engines, advanced batteries and power electronics, electric bicycles and scooters, super anti-friction additives, and electric power generation.
