Ford Credit Acquires AMI Leasing Group
    DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 25 -- Ford Credit today announced its
planned acquisition of the AMI Leasing Group.  AMI Leasing Group is a full-
service commercial leasing company for cars, trucks and equipment.  It will
become a part of Ford Credit North America's lending operations.
    "We are really excited about this logical extension of our business," says
Bob Labadie, director of commercial lending services at Ford Credit.  "By
working together, we believe we can find new and exciting growth opportunities
for both Ford and AMI."
    With more than 15,000 vehicles nationwide, AMI Leasing Group provides its
customers across the United States with a single source for car, truck and
equipment leases and a wide variety of fleet management services.
Headquartered in Worcester, Mass., it services include logistics, vehicle
maintenance programs, and management and support services.  The AMI Leasing
Group has more than 500 employees and 25 sales and service facilities
throughout the country.
