Peterbilt Achieves New Labor Agreement
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Nov. 24, 1998--Peterbilt Motors Company announced today that it has reached agreement on a new four-year labor contract for its Nashville facility with the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 1832."We are certainly pleased that our employees will be returning to work. We believe the agreement will enhance the factory's operating efficiencies, while providing an excellent benefit package for our Peterbilt employees," said Joe Scattergood, Peterbilt Nashville plant manager.
"We are also very appreciative of the support of our dealers and customers around the country. Given the labor agreement and recent capacity increases at both Denton and Nashville, Peterbilt looks forward to increasing production to meet market demand," added Nick Panza, Peterbilt general manager.
