Alamo Rent A Car To Open Locations In Chile

      Aggressive Expansion Plans Continue With New Openings in Santiago
                               and Antofagasta

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 23 -- Alamo Rent A Car, Inc. has
entered into a master franchise agreement with Franquicias Internationales
Limitada of Santiago, Chile, who own and operate Ervo Rent A Car.  The
location openings are a part of Alamo's aggressive expansion into Latin
America.
    Under the terms of the agreement, Alamo Chile will open three Alamo
locations in Santiago, including one at the Santiago International Airport, as
well as a downtown office in Antofagasta, which is located in northern Chile.
In addition, over the next two years, Alamo will establish a countrywide
network of Alamo locations located in the major Chilean tourist destinations,
including Iquique, Vina del Mar, Concepcion, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas.
    "Chile offers leisure travelers a wide variety of climates, different
geographies and historic sites which attract thousands of tourists every
year," said Karen Beard, president, Alamo Rent A Car. "The Latin America
market is an important part of our international business and we will continue
to focus on expanding our operations and providing quality car rentals at a
great price."
     Alamo's locations in Chile will give renters an excellent opportunity to
encounter beautiful beaches, lakes and volcanoes, outstanding fishing and snow
skiing and lovely cities that are wonderful for exploration. The fleet in
Chile offers travelers a wide choice of vehicles including 12-passenger vans,
four-wheel drive vehicles and a broad selection of regular passenger
automobiles to suit every need.
    Alamo currently serves more than 15 million travelers a year through 102
locations in the United States and Canada, and more than 250 international
locations in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, The Republic of Ireland, Mexico,
The Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Malta, Slovak Republic, Belgium
