Four Texas Auto Recyclers Consolidate Their Business
FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 23 -- Auto Recyclers, Inc., with
locations in Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio, announced today its merger
with AAA Small Car World, Haltom City; First Choice American & Import, Dallas;
and Budget American & Import, Kennedale. Following the announcement of the
merger today, Auto Recyclers, Inc. will have locations in seven Texas cities.
This merger will result in Auto Recyclers, Inc., becoming the largest auto
recycler in the state of Texas and perhaps in the Southern Midwest United
States.
The auto recycling industry is undergoing a period of great change. Auto
recycling is a highly fragmented $6 billion industry with over
7,000 independent operators nationwide. As technology revolutionizes the
typical "mom and pop" business, many facilities are attracting consolidators
and investors. Paul Parker, the President of First Choice American and Import
states, "This industry is ripe for additional consolidation as the most
sophisticated operations combine to gain synergies while increasing sales and
profits." He adds, "Our customers, primarily collision repair centers and
service dealers are demanding the highest quality and service ever and our
increased size, coupled with access to additional capital and larger
inventories will allow us to meet their expectations." Mr. Parker assumes the
position of Vice President of Operations for all markets.
Mr. Ron Sturgeon, the President of Auto Recyclers, Inc. says, "We have
always specialized in recycled original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and
look forward to exceeding our customer expectations." He adds, "The collision
repairers insist on the Like, Kind, Quality (LKQ) parts we strive to deliver."
With this merger, Auto Recyclers, Inc. will have over 110 employees
servicing its seven markets. All locations feature warranties including
Lifetime and Coast to Coast(TM) offered through its affiliation with United
Recyclers Group, LLC. "Our combined inventories of 150,000 parts, generated
from over 5,000 recycled vehicles annually, will allow the highest order
fulfillment rate in Texas," says Paul Wadley, Sales Manager for all locations.
Auto Recyclers, Inc. is a partner of United Recyclers Group (URG), a
recently formed business coalition of auto recyclers throughout North America
and a member of the Automotive Recycling Association.
