IJNT International Enters Partnership With Hot Rod, Inc. to Build Web Portal for Niche $9 Billion Industry
HOUSTON--Nov. 23, 1998---- More than 70,000 Auto Parts to be Sold Over New Website --
IJNT International (OTC BB:IJNT) today announced that Man Rabbit House Multimedia (MRHM), the Company's web development subsidiary, signed an agreement with Hot Rod, Inc. to built an e-commerce website which taps into the $9 billion high performance auto parts industry. The Company expects to complete the site within the next three months.
The website, which will be known as the Hot Rod Cafe, will cater to the interests of high performance automotive enthusiasts by featuring a catalog of over 70,000 auto parts. Visitors will be able to purchase merchandise through the website and have it delivered to their homes. IJNT and Hot Rod have already identified four distributors nationwide which will be responsible for shipments.
MRHM will receive a royalty on every sale made over the website, as well as a percentage of the advertising banner fees. The site is expected to generate $300,000 - $400,000 a year in advertising fees alone. The Company anticipates heavy site traffic (up to 10,000 visitors a day) as a result of aggressive online site promotion and traditional advertising in automotive magazines.
In addition to designing and building the Hot Rod Cafe, MRHM will provide site maintenance and technical support. The website will also include live chat with industry celebrities, bulletin board postings, web postcards, tips on automotive projects, race results, event calendars, and feature articles.
Greg Matsen, the division manager of MRHM, said "This is the first in a line of many web portals that we intend to design which cater to the unique needs and interests of a targeted group of consumers. By bringing the right consumers to the website, we will sell more of the product offering. We expect this venture with Hod Rod to prove extremely rewarding and will seek similar opportunities with other vendors for future sites."
