Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure For Friction Products, North AmericaSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 20 -- Frank Tomes, executive vice president, General Products, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces the following organizational structure for Friction Products, North America, with the following appointments effective immediately: * Don Anderson, director, operations, original equipment * David Braysher, director, operations, aftermarket * John Brown, director, original equipment sales * Bruce Jeltes, director, finance * Tim Merkel, director, technology and research and development * Larry Parson, director, human resources * Gary Seiwell, director, operations, brake hard parts All positions will report to Eric L. McAlexander, vice president, Friction Products, Americas. Don Anderson, Director, Operations, Original Equipment Don Anderson has been appointed director, operations, original equipment. Prior to this appointment, Anderson held the position of plant manager at Federal-Mogul's Winchester, Pennsylvania facility, where since 1986, he rose through roles in materials planning, production control and distribution. Prior to this, Anderson served as warehouse manager with Brodie Advertising and production scheduler with Alloy Automotive. Anderson earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Pennsylvania State University. Anderson also holds an APICS Certification - CFPIM. David Braysher, Director, Operations, Aftermarket David Braysher is appointed director, operations, aftermarket. Prior to this appointment, Braysher held the position of Ferodo director of group manufacturing technology, technology transfer, having recently focused on the Smithville, Tennessee facility. Prior to this, Braysher was senior project manager at T&N Technology, which he joined after ten years with SAFT as manufacturing manager and technical/engineering executive. He had previously worked with Black and Decker for 12 years in various engineering and production management positions. Braysher earned a post Higher National Diploma (distribution) in engineering and production at North London Polytechnic. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers. John Brown, Director, Original Equipment Sales John Brown has been appointed director, original equipment sales. Prior to this appointment, Brown was vice president, OE sales with Cooper Automotive's Abex Friction Products, having risen in the Cooper organization as accounts manager OE sales, sales manager, manager car/light truck and general sales manager, automotive. He began his sales career with Bemis Company Inc. Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from St. John's University. Bruce Jeltes, Director, Finance Bruce Jeltes has been appointed director, finance. Prior to this appointment, Jeltes held the position of operations controller at Cooper Automotive's Wagner Brake, where he built extensive experience rising through various accounting and controller positions. Before joining Wagner Brake, Jeltes was a senior accountant with Charles T. Cappadona. He started his career with Price Waterhouse, rising to the position of senior accountant. Jeltes earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson College and obtained his Certified Public Accountant qualification from Calvin College, New Jersey. Tim Merkel, Director, Technology and Research and Development Tim Merkel has been appointed director, technology and research and development. Prior to this appointment, Merkel held the position of executive vice president and technical director at Cooper Automotive's Abex Friction Products. During his career with Abex Friction, he also held the position of manager, long range research and development friction materials. He previously served as director, research (U.S.) for Unilever Household Products. Merkel earned a Ph.D. and a Master of Science degree in organic chemistry from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Wyoming College. Larry Parson, Director, Human Resources Larry Parson has been appointed director, human resources. Prior to this appointment, Parson held the position of director, human resources at Cooper Automotive's Abex Friction Products, having risen from manger, employee relations, Cooper Power Tools. Parson joined Cooper from Robbins and Myers, where he served as manager, hourly personnel. Previously, Parson held positions as supervisor for Cooper Industries' Ajax Superior, account representative for Colso Products Inc. and union representative for Dresser Industries. Parson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in human resources from Ohio State University. Bob Seiwell, Director, Operations, Brake Hard Parts Bob Seiwell is appointed director, operations, brake hard parts. Prior to this appointment, Seiwell held the position of plant manager, Century, with Cooper Automotive's Moog. Seiwell joined Moog from Kewannee Scientific Company when he served as director of manufacturing. Prior to this, he progressed from plant mechanical engineer to manager, production operations with International Harvester. In his earlier work experience, Seiwell served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps in India. Seiwell earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Bradley University.
