Federal-Mogul Appoints Janet Halpin Manager, Competitive Analysis, Investor Relations
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 19 -- Bonnie J. Price, vice
president, Investor Relations, Federal-Mogul Corporation ,
announces the appointment of Janet Halpin to the position of manager,
competitive analysis, effective immediately.
    Halpin will have responsibility for gathering, analyzing and reporting on
competitive intelligence to the company's executive management.  She will be
responsible for defining critical measures to evaluate Federal-Mogul's
performance against its peer group and other high performance companies.
    Prior to this appointment, Halpin held the position of manager of
financial communications, having previously served as accounting manager.
Halpin joined Federal-Mogul in 1995 as financial reporting manager.  Prior to
Federal-Mogul, Halpin held the position of audit manager with Deloitte &
Touche LLP, which she joined in 1994 as a senior accountant.  Halpin began her
career as a staff accountant with Plante & Moran, CPA's.
    Halpin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Michigan State
University.
