Gerber Auto Collision & Glass Selects PPG as its Automotive Refinish Partner
Gerber continues to put pieces in place as business grows

CHICAGO, Nov. 19 -- Gerber Auto Collision & Glass today
announced that it has selected PPG Industries, Inc. to be its exclusive
provider of automotive refinishing services.
"We know what a critical component a refinishing partner can be," said
Eddie Cheskis, Chairman and CEO of Gerber. "The ability to share in our long
range business objectives was the highest priority in our selection criteria.
PPG was able to clearly demonstrate their commitment to building and
maintaining this type of long term partnership."
PPG helps to grow its clients businesses through innovative customer
service programs supported by an extensive array of expertise. One such
example is the MVP program, the end result of which is to increase the
competitiveness of repairers. "The MVP program is very forward thinking,"
continued Mr. Cheskis. "It will provide Gerber with a professional business
analysis of each of our facilities, then bring back recommendations for
improving both productivity and profitability."
"The ultimate goal is delivering what the customer wants," he noted.
"More importantly, as a PPG Certified Collision Repair Center, we are showing
our customers not only that we are using premium products and state-of-the-art
technology but also that our technicians are highly trained and certified by
PPG. In the end, it's Gerber's customers that will benefit from this
partnership."
