Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure For Marketing, Worldwide AftermarketSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov. 18 -- Jay Burkhart, vice president, marketing, Worldwide Aftermarket, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces the appointment of a new marketing team for the Worldwide Aftermarket. Burkhart announces the creation of category directors who will manage each category of product and will be responsible for the success of the products and brands within the category, including strategic positioning, brand advertising, line management, pricing and margin contribution. The following positions will be located at the company's Southfield, Michigan headquarters and will report to Burkhart: * Harvey Diedrich, director, undercar products * Steve Hildebrand, director, engine * Bill Quigley, director, gaskets * Lee Reighart, director, ignition * Director, Visibility, to be named at a later date "This group brings to Federal-Mogul an enormous amount of talent, experience, energy and new ideas," said Burkhart. "Our customers can look forward to aggressive and innovative marketing in support of our unmatched stable of brands. This group will be completing the structure of their respective organizations very shortly." Harvey Diedrich, Director, Undercar Products Harvey Diedrich has been appointed director, undercar products. Diedrich joined Federal-Mogul earlier this year after over 25 years in sales and marketing with Tenneco Automotive. Diedrich announces his organizational appointments effective immediately: Walt Britland, Director, Friction Products Britland joins Federal-Mogul from the Cooper Automotive/Moog Automotive organization, where he served as director, marketing, Wagner Brake. Britland brings over 15 years experience in sales, marketing and strategic planning within Abex Friction Products. Brian Rassin, Director, Chassis Products Rassin has spent the past 17 years in the automotive aftermarket, most recently serving with the Cooper Automotive/Moog Automotive organization as senior product manager. Within that organization, Rassin held positions of increasing responsibility in product management. Scott Israelson, Manager, Bearings & Seals Israelson joined Federal-Mogul following the acquisition of Fel-Pro where he held the position of marketing manager, engine and transmission parts. Israelson held various marketing positions within the Fel-Pro organization over the last 15 years prior to joining Federal-Mogul. Debbie Olson, Manager, Brake Hydraulics & Hardware Olson has spent the past seven years at Cooper Automotive/Moog Automotive, most recently as friction product manager for Wagner brake. Olson was integrally involved in the successful repositioning of the Wagner Brake product line. Steve Hildebrand, Director, Engine Steve Hildebrand has been appointed director, engine. Hildebrand brings over 20 years of experience on both the manufacturing and distributor side of the aftermarket, most recently as director, marketing, lighting and wire at Cooper Automotive. Bill Quigley, Director, Gaskets Bill Quigley has been appointed director, gaskets. Quigley joined Federal-Mogul in 1994 in finance, rising to controller, North American Aftermarket prior to his move into marketing in late 1996. He most recently held the position of director, marketing services. Lee Reighart, Director, Ignition Lee Reighart has been appointed director, ignition. Reighart has over 30 years of association with Champion Spark Plugs, most recently as director, marketing, for Champion and Anco with Cooper Automotive. Director, Visibility A category director with responsibility for wiper and lighting products will be named shortly. Burkhart further announced the department heads of four areas of functional support. Reporting to Burkhart in these areas are: Don Burgstead, Director, Program Management Burgstead brings 15 years of experience in the development and execution of wholesale and retail promotional strategies. Burgstead most recently served as market development manager with Cooper Automotive. Mark Seng, Manager, Product Services Seng has held positions of increasing responsibility in distribution, sales and international marketing since joining Federal-Mogul in 1984. Seng will be responsible for application and vehicle-based systems for all Federal-Mogul products. Laura Sullivan, Manager, Pricing & Market Analysis Sullivan joins Federal-Mogul from Cooper Automotive where she has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as market analysis manager, Lighting & Wire. Sullivan has experience in both systems and hands- on marketing management. Bruce Maize, Director, Technician Support Maize joins Federal-Mogul from the Cooper Automotive/Moog Automotive organization with 25 years experience in all facets of sales and marketing, most recently serving as director, sales and marketing, NAPA. Maize will continue to be located at the company's Wellston, Missouri facility.
