BAT to Hold Open House in Mexico During Annual Stockholders' Meeting
CHULA VISTA, Calif., Nov. 18 -- Today BAT International
(OTC Bulletin Board: BAAT) announced that it will hold its annual
Stockholders' Meeting on February 27, 1999 at its corporate headquarters in
Chula Vista, California. BAT headquarters is only 15 miles from BAT's
composite auto manufacturing facility in Otay Mesa, Mexico.
After the annual meeting, buses will be reserved to transport stockholders
to the auto production facility in Mexico for an open house and unveiling of
new models and a demonstration of current production models, including BAT's
new sport and military "Rhino" Kevlar (bullet resistant) vehicles.
During the last 10 months, BAT has grown to over 12,000 stockholders.
Since previous stockholders' meetings have been well attended, meeting
attendees who plan to visit the Otay Mesa plant should pre register with BAT
as soon as possible. Registrants are asked to provide information by mail,
fax (619-409-9598), email (register@baat.com) or telephone (619-409-8977) and
should include an email address in order to receive additional timely
information.
All stockholders are urged to attend this exciting event at which BAT will
raffle off its new "Hummer" sports vehicle to one lucky stockholder with
second and third prizes of two new electric bicycles (donated by BAT
Electrobike). In addition, fourth and fifth prizes consisting of 3 year
supplies of SuperBAT "TVT" antifriction engine oil treatment and TVT fuel
treatment for two vehicles each will be given away (donated by SuperBAT
products).
For additional information, please refer to press releases dated Nov. 12,
13, 16 and 17, 1998 on Yahoo's web site or BAT's web site at
http://www.baat.com.
In other news, BAT regrets to announce that it has closed down its Chat
Room on its web site because of very improper behavior on behalf of web
"bashers." BAT has been experiencing the same kind of foul language bashing
that many of the Fortune 500 companies have experienced as described in a
recent USA Today article. Internet bashers are becoming the plague of the
nineties as they invade chat rooms and message boards across the country.
In response to this Internet problem and to provide as much reliable and
timely information as possible, BAT is expanding its stockholder relations
program by adding several new phone lines at its headquarters. If anyone has
a question about BAT or BAT products, BAT asks that interested parties not
refer to the substantial mountains of junk on the Internet chat sessions and
bulletin boards. "Ask The Source, BAT"! If BAT telephone lines are busier
than normal, BAT asks that callers please be patient; BAT will try its best to
serve everyone. The new phone lines are 619-409-8978, 8979, 8980 and 8981.
BAT International is organized as a holding company with major ownership
position in a set of subsidiary companies now commercializing advanced
automotive and energy technology products developed by BAT over the last seven
years. This includes electric vehicles, super-efficient and high-powered
engines, advanced batteries and power electronics, electric bicycles and
scooters, Super anti-friction additives, and electric power generation. (For
more information, call (619) 409-8977 or visit BAT's web site:
