Statement by the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers, Inc.

    WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 -- By an overwhelming majority vote of
its members, the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers, Inc.
(AIAM) will continue as a vital representative of the world's leading
automakers.  AIAM will remain a full-service organization and a strong
advocate for free and open trade on behalf of its members.
