Chrysler CFO Gary Valade to Speak at 11th Annual Automotive Outlook Conference in JanuaryGLENVIEW, Ill., Nov. 17 -- Gary Valade, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the nation's third largest automaker, Chrysler Corporation, will speak at the Society of Automotive Analysts (SAA) 11th annual Automotive Outlook conference on January 4, 1999 in Detroit, Mich. SAA's conference theme, "Access to the Thought Leaders," promises to deliver insights from the cream of the automotive analyst crop. Valade will discuss the effects of OEM changes for the automotive supplier community, and will focus specifically on the recent Daimler Chrysler merger and its implications for suppliers. He joins leading professionals from Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Chrysler, and analysts from such leading firms as Furman Selz, The University Group, and Wellington Fund in addressing issues facing automotive analysts as the millennium rapidly approaches. A Chrysler team member since 1968, Valade was elected a Vice President in November 1991, appointed CFO in May 1993, and will oversee all purchasing functions for the newly formed Daimler Chrysler. He is responsible for Chrysler's Treasurer's, Corporate Controller's, and General Auditor's Offices, as well as Information Services, Chrysler Financial Corporation, and Chrysler Pentastar Aviation, Inc. Valade is also the Chair of the Michigan Colleges Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Chrysler Corporation Fund. The 11th Annual Automotive Outlook Conference will be held at the Cobo Center in Detroit on Monday, January 4, 1999, in conjunction with the North American International Auto Show.
