Pep Boys Named an Approved Supplier to Bridgestone/Firestone Retail Division
PHILADELPHIA--Nov. 13, 1998--The Pep Boys 3/4 Manny, Moe & Jack , the nation's leading automotive aftermarket retail and service chain, announced that it has been named an approved automotive parts supplier to the stores that are geographically serviceable by Pep Boys' commercial delivery program among the 1,500 Bridgestone/Firestone retail outlets.Bridgestone/Firestone President, Kenji Shibata, made the following comment:
"This agreement with Pep Boys will allow us to continue providing our customers with the type of quality automotive parts they've come to expect from our stores. We are confident that Pep Boys' program will provide better parts quality, pricing and delivery times than we currently receive from our other suppliers."
Pep Boys' CEO, Mitchell G. Leibovitz, made the following comment:
"We have worked hard to launch and develop our commercial delivery program and are both flattered and pleased to establish a supplier relationship with the Bridgestone/Firestone Retail Division. We will do everything in our power to satisfy their needs."
