Exide Announces Second Quarter Cash Dividend

    READING, Pa., Nov. 10 -- Today, members of the Exide
Corporation Board of Directors announced that the Company has
declared a cash dividend of $.02 (two cents) per share of common stock payable
December 7, 1998, to shareholders of record on November 30, 1998.
