Ricardo, Inc., Continuing Success With QS 9000 Certification
    BELLEVILLE, Mich., Nov. 10 -- Since Ricardo, Inc. was
certified to QS 9000 in August 1997, the Company has continued to refine their
procedures and policies.  The Lloyd's Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA) six
month surveillance audit, conducted in August 1998 at the Detroit Technical
Center, was very successful.  LRQA found that the Quality System continues to
adhere to the requirements of Ricardo's stated Quality Policy, as well as the
ISO/QS Standards.  The success of the audit was a reward to Ricardo's
employees' commitment to continuous improvement.
    Another achievement of importance is the approval of Ricardo Software at
the Chicago Technical Center to QMS Standards of ISO 9001:1994 on June 17,
1998.  Their Quality Management System is applicable to:  Design, Development
and Support of Software for Powertrain and Vehicle CAE in accordance with
TickIT Scheme.
    Lloyd's Register of Quality Assurance was a natural choice for Ricardo, as
the world leading service for assessment and certification of international
management system standards.  LRQA services are highly respected throughout
the global community, with their ability to provide a consistent standard of
assessment around the world.
