Southeast Toyota Announces Record October SalesTrio Of Kentucky-Built Vehicles Leads The Way MIAMI, Nov. 6 -- Buoyed by the popularity of a Kentucky-built trio of Toyota vehicles, Southeast Toyota Distributors, Inc. reported today the best-ever October retail sales in its 29-year history. The company's former October record, set in 1997, was surpassed by 6.2 percent. Leading the way in October were the Camry sedan, up eight percent over the year-ago month; Avalon, up 35 percent and Sienna, up 44 percent. Each of these three models is built at Toyota's $4.5-billion manufacturing plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. "Today's consumers are more discerning and better informed than ever," said Southeast Toyota General Manager John Williams. "Quality craftsmanship and reliability, hallmarks of Toyota's award-winning Kentucky plant, really do drive showroom traffic."
