Southeast Toyota Announces Record October Sales
Trio Of Kentucky-Built Vehicles Leads The Way

MIAMI, Nov. 6 -- Buoyed by the popularity of a Kentucky-built
trio of Toyota vehicles, Southeast Toyota Distributors, Inc. reported today
the best-ever October retail sales in its 29-year history. The company's
former October record, set in 1997, was surpassed by 6.2 percent.
Leading the way in October were the Camry sedan, up eight percent over the
year-ago month; Avalon, up 35 percent and Sienna, up 44 percent. Each of
these three models is built at Toyota's $4.5-billion manufacturing plant in
Georgetown, Kentucky.
"Today's consumers are more discerning and better informed than ever,"
said Southeast Toyota General Manager John Williams. "Quality craftsmanship
and reliability, hallmarks of Toyota's award-winning Kentucky plant, really do
drive showroom traffic."
Ranked first among Toyota's American distributors in sales and customer
satisfaction, Southeast Toyota is the independent distributor of Toyotas in
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Owned and
operated by JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Southeast Toyota is based in
Deerfield Beach, Florida.
