Textron Automotive Trim Names Alby M. Berman Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development

    TROY, Mich., Nov. 5 -- Textron Automotive Trim today
announced that Alby M. Berman has been named to the newly established position
of Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development for Textron
Automotive Trim, reporting to Sam Licavoli, President.  Mr. Berman will be
instrumental in driving Textron Automotive Trim's growth through strategic
planning, alliances, and new business development.
    Mr. Berman brings over 30 years of experience in the areas of sales,
marketing, business planning and engineering to Textron Automotive Trim.  Most
recently, he served as Director, Business Development at SSI Technologies,
Farmington Hills, Michigan, responsible for the management of SSI's Technical
Center employing 25 technical sales, marketing and engineering professionals,
annual and long range business plans, new product opportunities, marketing
plans and strategic alliances.  Before joining SSI Technologies in 1992, Mr.
Berman had been a Director, Sales and Marketing and Engineering for Hawker
Siddeley Fasco Sensors and Controls.  Prior to that, he held various executive
positions for Sparkomatic Corporation, United Technologies Automotive, and
Allied Corporation.
    Mr. Berman earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Wayne State
University, Detroit, Michigan.  He has professional affiliations with SAE,
ESD, IEEE and Vehicle Technology Group and Power Engineering Society and
served as a participant in the C.P.C. Supplier Council and University of
Michigan Delphi Study.  In addition, he has also written six publications and
received twelve patents pertaining to electronics and power conversion
equipment.
