Best-Ever October Sales Reported By Toyota's Cincinnati Region
    CINCINNATI, Nov. 5 -- Toyota's Cincinnati Region posted
record car sales in October of 7,468 vehicles, a 10 percent increase over
October 1997 when sales totaled 6,782.
    Combined car and truck sales totaled 8,630, a seven percent increase over
8,016 vehicles sold in October 1997.
    "Our North-American built Toyota Camry, Sienna and Avalon sales
contributed to the Region's best-ever October," said Mike Reding, general
manager of the Cincinnati Region.  "Sienna posted a 41 percent increase,
Avalon an 18 percent increase and Camry an 8 percent over last October."
    Avalon had its best-ever October month since its introduction in 1995,
with a total of 750 sales.
    "The Cincinnati Region dealers have posted best-ever car sales numbers for
the past six months," Reding added.  "They plan to carry the momentum over
into 1999."
    The Toyota Cincinnati Region includes 118 dealers in Ohio, Kentucky,
Tennessee and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
