Isuzu Announces Record-Breaking October Sales
WHITTIER, Calif.--(AutomotiveWire)--Nov. 4, 1998--American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) announced a jump in monthly retail sales with an increase of 79 percent over October 1997, making this the best October since 1990.Isuzu sold 10,375 units in October, the third time in 1998 monthly retail sales have topped 10,000.
Isuzu's sales record was led by the highly acclaimed Rodeo, which posted 4,885 units, 27 percent over October 1997. Isuzu Trooper October sales rose 133 percent from last year to 2,433 units, making this the model's best month since 1995. The new Amigo, which was reintroduced last year after a three-year hiatus, enjoyed its best month ever at 1,163 units. Finally, the Hombre Pickup boasted its best sales month of the year with a 126 percent sales increase over last October.
