Holland America Line Named AAA Preferred Partner of the Year
ATLANTA--Nov. 4, 1998--Uncompromising customer service, a superior product and strong commitment to its partnership with AAA have made Holland America Line AAA's Preferred Partner of the Year for the second year in a row.
"Holland America's exceptional member benefits and outstanding sales support have made it a superior product for our travel agents as well as our members," said Jack Mannix, managing director of AAA Travel Related Services.
Holland America Line received the special honor during the 1998 AAA Travel Congress at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, a meeting of more than 500 AAA club and travel industry delegates.
More than 800 AAA and Canadian Automobile Association travel agents cast their votes for the third annual awards competition.
This year's contest included five categories. Winners in other categories include:
-- Best Customer Satisfaction -- Tauck Tours, for providing
outstanding customer service to travel agents and members;
-- Best Member Advantage -- Holland America Line, for supplying
superior offers to AAA members which result in sales, new
memberships and renewals;
-- Best Reservations/Bookings -- Classic Custom Vacations, for
delivering superior service from information and help desks;
-- Best Sales Support Team -- Walt Disney Attractions, Inc., for
furnishing excellent training and marketing support for AAA and
its brand name.
AAA is a not-for-profit federation of 93 clubs with 1,100 offices providing more than 41 million members in the United States and Canada services such as travel, insurance, financial and auto-related.
