Porsche U.S. Sales Up Forty-Six Percent In October 1998

        Sales Reflect a 35% Gain in Sales for 1998 Calendar Year-to-Date

    ATLANTA, Nov. 4 -- Porsche Cars North America, importer and
distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States, today announced sales
and stock figures for the month of October 1998. Figures reflect a 46%
increase in sales for the Boxster, and 35% increase for Porsche 911 sales.
The result contributes to a 35% increase for the 1998 calendar year-to-date.
