The Returns Are In! Kia Sales Up!

    IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 3 -- While Americans are casting their
ballots today, Kia Motors America is already basking in the glow of victory.
Kia today announced October sales of 8,634 vehicles, which is a 17 percent
jump from last month's sales and a 46 percent increase over October 1997
sales.  In addition, Sportage sales of 3,519 vehicles set an all-time monthly
sales record -- no doubt qualifying the Sportage as a landslide winner.  Kia's
year-to-date sales are up 66 percent over 1997 sales.
    Kia currently has more than 450 dealers in 46 states and is in the midst
of its market-by-market roll-out, which will culminate in a national dealer
network by the end of 1998.
