USCS Announces Statement Processing Agreement With Ford Credit; Ford Credit Cites Sophisticated Processing Capabilities and Rapid Deployment As Key Factors Behind Agreement
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--Nov. 2, 1998--USCS International Inc. today announced that its International Billing Services (IBS) subsidiary has signed a statement processing agreement with Ford Credit, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company.
In an effort to grow revenue and better support its dealer network, Ford Credit is implementing customized monthly statements designed and generated by IBS, beginning with a pilot program through 1999 that replaces Ford Credit's current coupon payment books with personalized monthly statements in selected branches. In signing this agreement, Ford plans to enhance customer relations and build greater life-long loyalty for Ford and Ford Credit's products and services.
Ford Credit's monthly statements deliver customized messaging to meet specific customer and dealer needs. For example, Ford Credit customers will receive information in their monthly statements on exclusive pricing and promotional offerings for accessories, service, new vehicles, and special financing.
Ford Credit chose IBS primarily for its ability to rapidly deploy their new program and for its sophisticated Information Systems (IS) and processing capabilities. IBS's statement processing solution includes Direct Access(TM), a Web-based program that allows full statement tracking and reporting from the customer's desktop. Direct Access provides customers with real-time viewing of the statement process -- from initial data transmission, through processing and creation, to final placement of statements into the mailstream.
"Ford Credit prides itself on industry leadership and we believe this move will significantly benefit both our customers and dealers," said Andy Salmon, vice president of Operations Services for Ford Credit.
"Ford Credit's decision to choose IBS further endorses our philosophy that the monthly statement, when designed correctly, truly is a tool to convey messages and build brand loyalty," said Randy Lintecum, President for IBS. "We are delighted to support the world's largest automotive financing company in its new approach to customer billing."
