Software Developer and Auto Parts Supplier Announce Licensing Agreement
KEM Manufacturing Selects IBS to Support Its U.S. Distribution

FOLSOM, Calif., Oct. 30 -- International Business
Systems-United States (IBS-US), the worldwide leader of wholesale distribution
software for the AS/400, and KEM Manufacturing, a major automotive replacement
parts supplier, today announced that KEM will license the use of IBS'
integrated software system to support their U.S. operations.
"We continuously search for new ways to streamline operations and meet
growing business demands in order to provide our customers with the best
product and service available," said Kenneth Brown, vice president and chief
financial officer for KEM Manufacturing. "The IBS software will help us
continue to predict change and quickly respond to our customers' needs by
giving us immediate answers to order status, customer requests, and global
inventory availability."
According to Brown, the company chose IBS because the software reflects
the way they do business. "The IBS software mirrors KEM's operation," says
IBS account manager Jill Barry, "because it is designed to support a
manufacturer's distribution process. Unlike other software vendors who
primarily support manufacturing processes, IBS concentrates single pointedly
on improving distribution performance in the supply chain."
The IBS software provides a single solution which integrates order
processing, inventory management, distribution management, and financial
accounting.
