Top Driver Teams With Tom Sneva's Driving School
NEW YORK, Oct. 26 -- Top Driver and Tom Sneva's School of
Safe Driving -- two giants in the Indiana driver education industry -- have
announced they are joining forces to change the way people learn to drive and
to raise the level of driver education and safety in the state of Indiana.
"Bringing these two schools together will further enhance the quality of
Top Driver's education programs," said Sebastian Giordano, Top Driver chief
operating officer. "The Tom Sneva school has trained well over 10,000
students in the state. Together we will continue to teach comprehensive
driver education and traffic safety to future generations of drivers."
Thomas Zachary, former president of Tom Sneva's School of Safe Driving has
been named Top Driver's director of driver education operations. "Through my
experience as a high school teacher, I've learned that students learn best
when they enjoy the process of education, and we fully intend for that to
happen in every one of our classrooms," said Zachary.
Top Driver, which opened its first regional location in Trumbull, Conn.,
in 1997, offers state-of-the-art technology for its classroom instruction and
behind the wheel training courses. It's a concept that Motor Trend magazine
called "the next frontier in auto safety." Partnered with Chevrolet and
MetLife Auto Insurance, Top Driver also maintains a third location in
Cleveland, Ohio.
For drivers of different levels, Top Driver offers 12 different courses
designed to enhance driver safety, including defensive driving, refresher
courses, and the all-encompassing Road Scholar program for teenagers, the
company's target audience.
Tom Sneva's School of Safe Driving was founded by Zachary in 1984, one
year after Sneva captured the coveted Indianapolis 500. The school, which
maintains a licensing agreement with Sneva, has trained more than
10,000 students, including teenagers, housewives and senior citizens, using an
in-car experience curriculum that is backed by a series of written course
work.
Top Driver is changing the way that people learn to drive by providing the
highest quality driver education available today. With plans to open training
centers nationwide, Top Driver is revolutionizing driver education and setting
the new standard.
Top Driver is the first in the industry to bundle driver education
programs, DMV Services, financing information, insurance services, automotive
