Donnelly Corporation Earns the Chrysler Gold Pentastar AwardLANGRES, France, Oct. 26 -- Donnelly Corporation's EuroGlas operation has earned the Chrysler Gold Pentastar Award for its superior performance during 1998, the company announced today. With this award, Donnelly EuroGlas is singled out as one of Chrysler Eurostar's top suppliers. The Chrysler Gold Pentastar Award in Europe is similar to the Platinum Pentastar Award in North America. To receive the award, suppliers must have excellent performance in the areas of customer service, part quality, competitive pricing, delivery, service part performance and Chrysler's SCORE program for cost reduction. The requirements are so exacting, only one of Chrysler Eurostar's suppliers earned the award in 1997, and only four suppliers won the award for 1998. "Winning the Gold Pentastar Award demanded a tremendous effort from everyone on the Donnelly EuroGlas team," said John Donnelly, chief operating officer of Donnelly's European Automotive Operations. "By working together, we were able to make significant improvements in our already outstanding service to Chrysler and clearly distinguish our company as one of the premier automotive suppliers in Europe." Donnelly EuroGlas was established in 1995, primarily to support Chrysler's need for window systems in Europe. Currently, the facility produces window systems for the Chrysler minivans and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Donnelly Corporation is an international automotive supplier dedicated to serving customers around the globe with industry-leading components and systems in automotive mirrors, windows, door handles and interior trim and lighting.
