Ford of Canada public affairs appointment
    OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 26 /CNW-PRN/ - The appointment of Pamela J. Kueber as
Director - Public Affairs, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, was
announced today by Bobbie Gaunt, President and Chief Executive Officer.
    Kueber, 39, will become Vice President - Public Affairs on Jan. 1, 1999,
succeeding Tony Fredo, who will retire after 30 years with the company.
    Kueber has served in a wide range of public affairs positions, including a
two-year assignment with Ford of Canada, during her 14 years with Ford. A
graduate in journalism from Marquette University in Marquette, WI, she joined
Ford Motor Company in 1984 and progressed through public affairs assignments
in the company's North American and International operations.
    In 1988, she was appointed Product Information Manager for Ford of Canada
in Oakville, Ont., before returning to Ford U.S. in 1990 as assistant manager,
New York Public Affairs office.
    Kueber became Manager, Environmental and Safety Public Affairs, at the
company's World Headquarters in Dearborn, MI, from 1993 to 1996, when she was
named Manager, Global News. Prior to her return to Canada, she was Director -
Internal Communications, Public Affairs, Ford Motor Company.
    Fredo joined Ford of Canada in 1968 after a career in journalism with the
Niagara Falls Review where he was a reporter, city editor, and executive
editor.
    After serving in various public affairs positions in Canada, he was
assigned to Ford U.S. Public Affairs from 1984 to 1986 when he returned to
Canada to assume his present position.
