Foamex Confirms Cancellation of October 27 Settlement Hearing

    LINWOOD, Pa.--October 21, 1998--Foamex International Inc. today announced that, as requested by the parties, the Delaware Chancery Court has cancelled the settlement hearing previously scheduled for October 27, 1998 at 2:00 PM with respect to the proposed settlement of the action entitled In Re Foamex International Inc. Shareholders Litigation, Consolidated C.A. No. 16259 NC.
