Thomas DeJong Named President - North America for Walbro CorporationCASS CITY, Mich., Oct. 20 -- Thomas DeJong has been named President - North America for Walbro Corporation . The announcement was made by Frank E. Bauchiero, President and Chief Executive Officer, Walbro Corporation. DeJong replaces Larry Ward, who recently resigned to pursue other interests. As President - North America, DeJong will be responsible for all aspects of the Company's operations in North America. He will report to Bauchiero and will be based at Walbro's regional headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. DeJong joined Walbro earlier this year as Vice President - Sales and Marketing for the North American Region. Prior to joining Walbro he was General Manager of the Sealing Systems Group of Magna Corporation. He also spent 14 years with GenCorp Sealing Systems where he ultimately served as Vice President, Sales/Marketing/Design Engineering. "In a very short period of time, Tom has had a significant day-to-day impact on our North American operations," said Bauchiero. "With more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, he has brought new strengths to our organization." DeJong holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan - Dearborn, and an MBA from Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky. He has also completed the Harvard University Professional Development Management Program. DeJong is married and has two children. He resides in Brighton, Michigan.
