Tesma announces completion of Triam acquisition

    CONCORD, ON, Oct. 19 /CNW-PRN/ - Tesma International Inc. (TSE:TSM.A;
NASDAQ:TSMAF) announced today the successful completion of the previously
announced acquisition of the Triam Sterling Heights facility from Magna
International Inc. The acquisition is effective August 2, 1998, and
strengthens Tesma's position as a key independent player in the North American
automotive powertrain market.
