Federal-Mogul Announces Retirement of John F. Collins, President, Moog AutomotiveSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 19 -- Gordon A. Ulsh, executive vice president, Worldwide Aftermarket, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces the retirement of John F. Collins, president, Moog Automotive, effective December 31, 1998. Collins has agreed to lead the transition and integration activities for the St. Louis-based businesses until his retirement is effective. "John is a talented, professional and highly respected leader in our industry and has been a key contributor in the growth of Moog and establishment of Cooper Automotive, which was acquired by Federal-Mogul earlier this month," said Ulsh. "We are appreciative of John's leadership and enthusiasm and wish him well." Collins has served as president, Moog Automotive since May 1994. He joined Moog in 1988 as senior vice president, marketing, was promoted to president, Temperature Control Division in 1991, then transferred to Cooper Automotive as senior vice president, sales and marketing, in early 1993. He has extensive experience in the automotive aftermarket industry, having worked previously for Echlin Inc., as president of its Borg Warner Division and for Tenneco Automotive in various sales and marketing management positions. Collins received his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, Maryland, a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey, and a Bachelor's degree in business administration from St. Francis College, Loretto, Pennsylvania.
