USF Distribution Acquires Moore & Son Co.

    BOLINGBROOK, Ill.--Oct. 19, 1998--USF Distribution Services, a subsidiary of USFreightways Corporation, announced today it has acquired Moore & Son Co., a Columbus, Ohio based assembly and distribution business serving all points within the state. The company was purchased from William and Robert Moore for an undisclosed cash settlement. The Ohio cross-dock facility joins existing USF Distribution service centers located in major metropolitan centers of Illinois, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado and California.
    USF Distribution Services is a national provider of logistics services to the retail and industrial markets with particular focus on assembly/distribution and fulfillment programs.
