Warren Byrd Named ADESA Vice President

INDIANAPOLIS--Oct. 14, 1998--Jim Hallett, President and CEO of ADESA Corporation, today announced the appointment of Warren W. Byrd to the position of Vice President of Corporate Development. Byrd previously served as ADESA's General Counsel.
"We are pleased to have someone with Warren's experience leading our Corporate Development efforts," Hallett said. "He has been a central figure in our strategy development and he has spearheaded a number of acquisitions and other development projects since joining the company. This makes Warren the right candidate for this position," noted Hallett.
Byrd, a graduate of Notre Dame Law School, also worked in private practice with the Indianapolis law firm of McHale, Cook and Welch prior to joining ADESA.
"ADESA has grown from a small start-up company in 1992 to the second largest auto auction company in North America and we're not done yet," said Byrd. "We have a number of opportunities and I look forward to being a part of ADESA's future growth and success."
ADESA Corporation is headquartered in Indianapolis IN and is one of North America's largest providers of wholesale vehicle remarketing services. The company operates 28 automobile auctions throughout the United States and Canada.
