Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Structure for Friction Products
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 13 -- Frank Tomes, executive vice
president, General Products, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces
the organizational structure for the newly expanded Friction Products group
with the following appointments effective immediately:

    *  Ian Edmondson, vice president, Europe
    *  Ken Lambert, vice president, International
    *  Eric L. McAlexander, vice president, Americas
    *  Charles B. McCloskey, director, human resources
    *  Rod Walton, director, finance

    All positions will report to Sam Thomas, vice president, Friction
Products.
    With the recent acquisition of Cooper Automotive, Federal-Mogul's
Friction Products group is over a $1 billion business with 32 manufacturing
facilities and five joint ventures worldwide.
    "We have restructured the business in order to be responsive to our
customers and provide system solutions," said Tomes.  "I'm confident this
leadership team will optimize our growth potential."

    Ian Edmondson, Vice President, Europe
    Ian Edmondson has been appointed vice president, Europe.
    Prior to this appointment, Edmondson held the position of general manager,
Systems Protection, Europe, having previously been managing director of BIP
Specialty Resins.  Edmondson has held other managing director positions both
in England and Italy.  He began his career with ICI.
    Edmondson earned a doctorate and a Bachelor of Science degree in
mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London, England.

    Ken Lambert, Vice President, International
    Ken Lambert has been appointed vice president, international.  This
includes all geographic regions beyond Europe and North America.
    Prior to this appointment, Lambert held the position of general manager of
joint ventures and licenses.  Lambert has extensive experience running
businesses having held managing director positions at Ferodo, Caernarfon, BIP
Plastics, Industrial Division LEP Group and deputy managing director
Exide Europe with Chloride.  Prior to this, Lambert worked in human resources
rising to both senior European and American posts.
    Lambert earned a Post Graduate Diploma in computer sciences from Essex
University and an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Hull
University.

    Eric L. McAlexander, Vice President, North America
    Eric L. McAlexander has been appointed vice president, North America.
    Prior to this appointment, McAlexander held the position of vice president
of operations with Cooper Automotive, having rose through positions of plant
manager at Century foundry and Scottsville.
    McAlexander earned a Bachelor of business administration degree from
Lambuth University.

    Charles B. McCloskey, Director, Human Resources
    Charles B. McCloskey has been appointed director, human resources.
    Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, McCloskey held the position of vice
president, human resources at Cooper Industries' Moog Automotive.  During his
employment with Moog, he progressed through various line and central human
resource positions, with extensive experience in industrial and employee
relations.
    McCloskey was a captain in the army before joining Moog.
    McCloskey earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration and
an Associate's degree in industrial relations from the University of New York.

    Rod Walton, Director, Finance
    Rod Walton has been appointed director, finance.
    Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Walton held the position of director,
finance since moving from T&N's Finance Task Force.  He has held divisional
finance directorships in United Engineering Steels and T.I. Groups.
    Walton earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from Oxford University,
England and is a Fellow of Cost and Management Accounting.
