Federal-Mogul Announces Appointments for General Products Group
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 13 -- Frank Tomes, executive vice
president, General Products, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces
the following appointments, effective immediately, for the newly enlarged
General Products group resulting from the acquisition of Cooper Automotive:

    * Steven C. Feeny, vice president, aftermarket
    * Terry C. Graessle, vice president, lighting products
    * Dennis H. Wappelhorst, vice president, chassis products

strengthen the management team of the General Products group," said Tomes.
"We have tremendous opportunities to extend General Products' strong business
performance and the new additions to the management team will make a major
contribution."

    Steven C. Feeny, Vice President, Aftermarket
    Steven C. Feeny has been appointed vice president, aftermarket.
    Feeny will have responsibility for the rationalization of all General
Products aftermarket sales by working closely with our Worldwide Aftermarket
team.  Prior to this appointment, Feeny held the position of vice president,
operations, General Products having been general manager, operations, General
Products.
    During his 24-year career at Federal-Mogul, Feeny has held positions of
increasing responsibility in both manufacturing and aftermarket operations.
He has served as manager of engine parts marketing, controller of North
American manufacturing operations, controller of North American aftermarket
operations, controller of national grinding wheel division, financial analyst
of North American operations, manufacturing plant accounting supervisor and
manufacturing plant labor relations representative.  Feeny began his career
with Federal-Mogul in 1974 at the Greenville, Michigan Powertrain Systems
facility.
    Feeny earned a Master of Arts degree in social science and a Bachelor of
Arts degree in economics from Michigan State University.

    Terry C. Graessle, Vice President, Lighting Products
    Terry C. Graessle has been appointed vice president, lighting products.
    In this position, Graessle will assume responsibility for all of Federal-
Mogul's and the former Cooper Automotive lighting operations.
    Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Graessle held the position of vice
president, OEM sales and marketing with Cooper Automotive, having previously
been vice president, OE sales and marketing, Wagner Lighting Division.  Prior
to this, Graessle served as director, OEM sales, Arvin Industries.
    Graessle earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University.

    Dennis H. Wappelhorst, Vice President, Chassis Products
    Dennis H. Wappelhorst has been appointed vice president, chassis products.
    Wappelhorst will assume responsibility for all of the Federal-Mogul and
the former Cooper Automotive chassis operations.  Prior to joining Federal-
Mogul, he held the position of vice president, operations for Cooper
Industries' Moog division, at which he worked for 16 years.  Wappelhorst
developed his career there through various engineering and manufacturing
positions.  Prior to joining Moog, Wappelhorst worked for Wagner Electric.
    Wappelhorst earned a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Rockhurst
College, Kansas City, Missouri.
