Federal-Mogul Appoints Robert C. Rozycki Chief Tax Officer
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 12 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation
, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Thomas W.
Ryan today announced the appointment of Robert C. Rozycki to the position of
chief tax officer for the corporation, effective immediately.
    The acquisitions during 1998 of Cooper Automotive, T&N and Fel-Pro have
increased Federal-Mogul's global scope and complexity of taxation issues.
"Our tax professionals, led by Bob Rozycki, have addressed these issues
aggressively," said Ryan.  "It is appropriate that we recognize leadership and
reward it with increased responsibility."
    With the new appointment, Rozycki will assume signature authority for tax
matters on a worldwide basis.
    Prior to this appointment, Rozycki held the position of director of tax.
Rozycki joined Federal-Mogul in 1984, where he held various tax management
positions in research, planning and international tax.  Rozycki is a Certified
Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the
University of Detroit.
