PentaCom Earns ISO 9002 Certification Immediately After Gold Pentastar HonorCertification, Award Marks Media Planning/Buying Agency As Among the Industry's Best TROY, Mich., Oct. 9 -- PentaCom, the national media planning and buying agency for Chrysler Corporation , today received ISO 9002 certification after just earning Chrysler's "Gold Pentastar" award for the past two model years (1996 and 1997), marking the media planning and buying agency the first in its industry to achieve the recognitions consecutively. The announcement was made today by David C. Martin, President and CEO of PentaCom. ISO 9002 is an international benchmark designating ongoing quality in a service organization with criteria determined by the International Organization for Standardization and agreed upon by 130 countries worldwide. Gold Pentastar is awarded to top Chrysler Corporation suppliers (about three percent -- out of thousands) who excel in several key areas, particularly: quality, delivery/project completion, price and technology/service. "We are extremely pleased to have achieved both accomplishments consecutively. This is a testament to the hard work of our biggest asset, our PentaCom employees," Martin said. "PentaCom was designed from a clean sheet of paper only a few years back, and we put the best processes in place based upon the collective experiences of the industry's brightest people. These recognitions are the natural result of doing things right -- right from the start." PentaCom is a full-service media planning and buying communications company developed in partnership by BBDO Detroit and Chrysler Corporation. It is unique to other media agencies since all media planning, buying, trafficking and invoice reconciliation are completed in one location for all national Chrysler Brand products. PentaCom is headquartered in Troy, Mich.
